Azerbaijani PM meets with Turkish parliament speaker 

Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ali Asadov has met with Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye Numan Kurtulmus, who is on an official visit to Azerbaijan, AzVision.az reports. 

They noted that 2023 marks the 100th anniversary of National Leader of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev and the establishment of the Republic of Türkiye.

The two hailed the successful development of friendly and brotherly relations between Azerbaijan and Türkiye in all areas under the motto “one nation, two states”.

The sides pointed out that thanks to the efforts of the heads of state, relations between the two countries have reached the highest level of strategic partnership and alliance.

Praising the role of interparliamentary ties in developing bilateral relations, they underlined that Azerbaijan`s Milli Majlis and Türkiye`s Grand National Assembly enjoy the mutually beneficial cooperation both in a bilateral format and within international organizations.

The premier and the speaker also discussed the expansion of Azerbaijan-Türkiye relations in trade, economic, energy, transport, agricultural, humanitarian, tourism and other areas.
